Singaporean passport holders DO NOT need a visa to enter Vietnam for up to 30 days for tourist purpose. However, if you want to stay in Vietnam for a longer time or enter the country with other purposes such as business, working…you have to apply for a suitable visa.
In order to enter Vietnam, Singaporean passports need:
- Be valid for at least 6 months before coming.
- Have at least 02 blank pages left.
How to get a Vietnam visa for Singaporean citizens?
There are 02 ways for Singaporean passport holders to apply for a Vietnam visa.
1. Get a visa at the local Vietnam Embassy
Contact the local Vietnam embassy/consulate in Singapore (if you are residing in Singapore), or in nearby countries (if you are not residing in Singapore currently) to get a visa stamped on your passport before coming to Vietnam.
2. Get a Vietnam visa on arrival
The easiest way to get a Vietnam visa for Vietnam for Singaporean passport holders is applying for a visa on arrival (VOA).
With VOA, you apply online via vietnamvisaletter.vn by taking 3 simple steps as below:
- Fill out the secure online application form, and make payment of the service fee
- Receive the visa approval letter via email. Normally in 2 working days (for tourist visa) or 7 working days (for business visa), attached with the Vietnamese visa application form (also know as Entry and Exit Form).
- Submit the visa letter to get a visa sticker upon arrival at Vietnam border checkpoint.
